Empower Speech, LLC offers a unique cognitive program. Our cognitive program offers clients and families resources and an individualized plan to promote independence and safe functioning within the home/natural living environment
Our Cognitive Program
We offer comprehensive assessments to understand the whole picture of our clients’ lives. This may include patient/family questionnaires, informal observation and assessment, and completion of standardized assessments. We are dedicated to developing a plan which will encourage independence by using strategies and tools that allow for successful completion of ADLs and IADLs and safety within the living environment.
Following completion of the initial evaluation, our therapists will develop a personalized plan for carryover of skills to the natural setting. If indicated, we will return for a meeting with the client and family to review our plan. We will provide therapy as indicated after this follow-up visit. We include the family and collaborate to determine the most appropriate treatment plan. Throughout treatment, we provide activities and recommendations to promote carryover of skills outside of the therapy sessions.
